Aye Myat Thandar Ko is a 24-year-old Myanmar helper who is married and has one 2.5-year-old child. Through raising her own child, she has gained hands-on experience in understanding children’s daily routines, needs and care requirements.
She shared that as a mother, she has experience taking care of her own child since birth and is comfortable with newborn care. She mentioned that she is able to handle daily childcare tasks such as feeding, bathing, diaper changing, putting the child to sleep and providing care according to the child’s routine. She is confident in managing children’s daily needs and enjoys spending time with children.
She shared that she is comfortable taking care of children from newborn age onwards. She mentioned that she is also comfortable sleeping together with the child if required. She prefers childcare as she is more confident and experienced in taking care of young children.
She is able to cook Myanmar dishes and simple Chinese dishes. She can follow recipes and is willing to learn more cooking styles according to the employer’s preference. She is also willing to learn and assist with general household duties according to the employer’s requirements.
She shared that she loves dogs and cats. She currently keeps a dog at home and has experience bathing it. She is comfortable working in households with pets.
Through the interaction at the training centre, she appears to be a cheerful and mature person. She is willing to cooperate, learn and adapt to the employer’s requirements.
