She shared that she was responsible for the grandmother’s daily care including bathing, diaper changing, assisting with her needs, cleaning and maintaining household cleanliness.
She also shared that she previously worked for a family in Singapore consisting of the employer, grandfather and grandmother aged around 70 years old. She mentioned that the grandmother was a cancer patient and her main responsibility was taking care of her. Her duties included bathing the grandmother, assisting with daily needs and cleaning the house. She also prepared supplements for the grandmother and occasionally helped to take care of the employer’s grandchildren when they visited, aged 8, 7 and 3 years old.
She shared that she has experience in elderly care and is comfortable assisting elderly with their daily routines. She also mentioned that she has experience helping to take care of her aunt’s newborn baby. She is comfortable taking care of children from newborn age onwards and is able to assist with childcare when required. She is also comfortable sleeping together with both children and elderly if required.
She is able to cook Myanmar dishes and simple Chinese dishes. She can follow recipes and is willing to learn more cooking styles according to the employer’s preference. She can manage general household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing and maintaining household cleanliness.
She shared that she loves dogs and cats. She has experience taking care of her friend’s dog and is comfortable working in households with pets.
Through the interaction at the training centre, she appears to be a kind and caring person who tends to put others’ needs first. She is willing to cooperate, learn and adapt to the employer’s requirements.
